Applicability: CountyEdge account access, private workspace, and user-controlled settings. Editorial review: 2026-10-02. Available registration methods and service availability are shown in the app. Examples are fictional.
Outcome
Use the correct account to return to private research, save learning bookmarks, and control your profile, communication preferences, and account data.
Before you begin
Free calculators and public Field Guide pages can be used without an account. Saving private work, opening private reports, and downloading their evidence require a verified account.
Use an email account you can access. CountyEdge offers Continue with Google and sign-in for existing email-and-password accounts. Creating a new account with email and password depends on the registration options currently enabled. If the page directs new users to Google, follow that available option rather than assuming email registration is open.
Practical steps
- Open Sign in. Choose Continue with Google or use the email and password for your existing account. Use the same account that created the research you want to read.
- If email verification is required, follow the verification message. Use Resend verification when appropriate, check the inbox and spam folder, then return to sign in. A requested email is not confirmation that it reached your inbox.
- Return to your saved work: property research cases contain address-based investigations; My Properties holds saved property work; My Reports holds report history. Open the particular case or report version you need.
- In the app's Learn pages, choose Bookmark this guide to keep a lesson for later. Open Keep learning in your account to see Your bookmarks. A guide bookmark saves the lesson reference, not a private report or a copy of your browser inputs.
- Open Settings to review your investment profile, target markets, optional contact preference, and communication choices. Choose Save settings after making intentional changes.
- When needed, use Export my data under Account security and data to download the account's workspace export. Keep report PDFs and source documents separately if you need those files.
- Review the deletion explanation before choosing Delete my account. The final confirmation requires typing DELETE and permanently removes the account and private workspace from active storage. Export anything you need first.
Connected assistants
Assistant connections are currently paused while report-only permissions are completed. Normal sign-in, research, saved reports, and PDF exports remain available. Follow Connect and disconnect an AI assistant for the current status, PDF-sharing alternative, and instructions for previously connected clients. Removing a connection does not erase information already received by an assistant. Previously issued access tokens can retain underlying Data API access until expiry; a connection-management error is not proof that no grants exist.
Worked example
A fictional investor prepares a rental brief in one browser and signs in with Google to save the private case. A week later, they open its link while signed in with a different email account and see that the report is unavailable.
They switch to the original verified account and return to the case. The link identifies the report; it does not transfer access between accounts. They bookmark the scenario guide in the app so it appears under Your bookmarks, while the property case remains in their research history.
The investor also enters a target market in Settings. That profile preference does not activate an investment search. They must separately review and confirm an investment request to define actual search boundaries.
How to interpret it
A browser draft and a saved account record have different lifetimes. Research drafts are retained in the current browser session for up to 24 hours. A successful submission creates the private case you can return to through your account. Do not rely on an unsubmitted draft being available on another browser or device.
Private reports and retained documents are limited to their owning verified account. A public Field Guide link can be shared as educational material; copying a private report link does not grant access to someone else. Files you deliberately download are copies under your control, so consider their contents before sharing them.
Profile target markets personalize the workspace. Investment requests separately define the actual search geography and criteria. An optional follow-up preference or digest selection records your choice; it does not establish that a message was sent. The current opportunity workspace says email delivery is not yet available.
Both communication choices are optional, and the account works with them turned off. Turning off digests also disables email on existing searches. For the policy describing data handling, read CountyEdge's privacy policy.
Common problems
- Your private work is missing: confirm the email and sign-in method associated with the original account before assuming the records were lost.
- The verification or recovery link has expired: request a new link through the sign-in page and use the newest valid message. Check spam without treating a request confirmation as delivery proof.
- You forgot an email-account password: use the recovery option on the sign-in page, then follow the valid recovery email to set a new password.
- New email registration is not offered: use the registration method currently presented. Existing email accounts can still have a separate sign-in path.
- A bookmark does not appear: verify that you saved it from an app Learn page while signed in to the intended account. A browser bookmark is separate from Your bookmarks.
- A workspace export does not contain the PDF you expected: download the needed report PDF and source attachments from the report or case separately.
- An account deletion is being considered: read the final dialog carefully. Deleting the active account and workspace cannot be undone through that control.
